We’re On Board For Ask A Curator Day 2012

By |

Wednesday 19th September 2012 is Ask a Curator Day. Museums around the globe are opening their doors to the Twittersphere so you can ask a Curator anything you want. We are taking part, so if you have a burning question about our world-class collections, our public galleries or a query about the history of media then simply ask us a question over Twitter using the hashtag #askacurator.

You can find out more about the project on the Ask a Curator Day website. The site also includes all the other Museums and Art Galleries that have signed up, plus some handy tips if you’re new to Twitter.

Ask a Curator

The Curators who will be on hand to answer your questions include Iain Logie-Baird, Curator of Broadcast Culture, Michael Harvey, Curator of Cinematography, Colin Harding, Curator of Photographic Technology, Greg Hobson, Curator of Photography, Paul Goodman, Head of Collections and Knowledge, Brian Liddy, Collections Access Manager, and myself – Tom Woolley, Curator of New Media.

So we’ve pretty much got it covered when it comes to photography, film, television, animation, videogames and the web. You can find out more about the Collections and Curatorial team here.

Join us on Twitter on Wednesday 19th September 2012 and get your questions at the ready. We’ll post some of the best questions on this blog throughout the day.
